How Can Tools Help You Judge the Value of Keywords?

Having the right tools is important in any job. If you want to do the job right you need to make sure you have the tools that are needed to accomplish this goal. Whether you are trying to install an air conditioner or break into the world of Internet marketing there are quite a few tools that can help you do the job better than you would be able to do it without them. Fortunately for those interested in Internet marketing as a career choice, there are plenty of great products available online to help them achieve that goal.

WordTracker

If you want the king of the hill among Internet marketers the general consensus is that WordTracker is that king. This is one of the most widely utilized and respected tools for keyword research online today. It has a proven track record and continues to withstand the tests of time and constantly changing algorithms by the search engines. Not only does WordTracker let you know which terms are being searched for but how often they are being searched and how many sites are currently competing with those keywords. It takes a three step process used with free methods and breaks it down to a one step approach. If your time is limited this is a service well worth paying for.

KeywordDiscovery

This tool is a lot like WordTracker though it hasn't quite matched its reputation just yet. Some important details you might want to know about KeywordDiscovery is that it allows you to see statistics on not only the keywords you specify but also relevant keywords—even those that are misspelled or considered fault logic keywords. It is an interesting choice if you've tried the free trial at WordTracker and decided that their program isn't for you. You can enjoy a free tour of this software to see how you like it.

Google AdWords

Google offers a tool that is designed to work with its AdWords campaigns. However, this tool is free and can be infinitely beneficial to those who are in need of a little assistance when it comes to choosing keywords or weeding out those that aren't going to be as likely to be profitable. More importantly, this nifty little tool might introduce you to keyword phrases that you would have never come up with on your own.

Once you've created a list of potential keywords it's time to move on toe creating the content for your site. Write the content for your site with the keywords in mind and be sure to use them liberally (without stuffing of course) within the text of your website. It may take a few times before you get the hang of writing for the benefit of the search engines without alienating your readers. You cannot afford to alienate your target audience because these are the people who will make the purchases that make your efforts pay off.

Things You Must Consider About Keyword Density

There will always be a wide number of questions about keyword density from new and older marketers alike. It is important that you remember to always take the advice given with a grain of salt and realize that trial and error really is the best way to work out what works and doesn't work for you. However, knowing the answers to the questions below can when the time comes to make those painful decisions that every person doing business, whether online or off, must face from time to time—the decision to keep a project going, scrap a project, or seriously overhaul the keyword efforts that are currently in place.

Can keywords be used as anchor text?

While keywords that are used as anchor text for links has little impact on the overall keyword density of the content on a website; it does offer some benefit to associate the page being linked to with those keywords. When using article marketing to bring in traffic and boost page rank, it is critical to use targeted keywords when linking from the article to the website. In order to avoid penalties for keyword stuffing it is a good idea to link similar keywords in your inbound links so that all of the incoming links are not identical.

Are keywords necessary for title tags?

This is another use of keywords that can have a major impact on how well a website ranks among various search engines. Placement is important. Put the most important keywords near the beginning. Make a concentrated effort to use variations so that you aren't using one specific word within the phrase more than three times in the entire title tag though twice should be sufficient.

Is there an order to follow?

There are wide ranging theories on this. Keep in mind that the algorithms are subject to change frequently and without warning. Search engines are making a valiant effort to encourage website creators to write for their living breathing audiences rather than for the sake of their algorithms. With this in mind it is better to use the keywords frequently enough that your audience knows the point you are trying to make but doesn't feel as though they are being overwhelmed by that point. Sprinkle the words into the article and throughout the article rather than trying to have them stuffed heavily at the top and conspicuously absent as the article continues.

Do you have to use the same phrase throughout?

It is important to note that this is changing to some degree as search engine algorithms become more sophisticated. For the time being though it is important that when optimizing for a specific keyword, that the keyword phrase is used exactly throughout the article. You can use synonyms and similar phrases for emphasis or in order to avoid keyword stuffing but should avoid using them in your calculations for keyword density.

When these questions are answered you will be better equipped to come up with a plan for keyword density within your own web pages. Always test and make changes whenever necessary to ensure that your pages are on the rise within the search engine rankings.

How to Choose Your Keywords Carefully and Profitably

Need a little advice when it comes to choosing the right keywords? Who doesn't? Picking the right keywords is one of the biggest and best things you can do to boost your business and optimize your website for the search engines. If you optimize your site for the wrong keywords the battle is a complete waste of time, effort, money, and energy. You do not want to invest time in keywords that are not going to pay off when all is said and done.

Demystifying the Keyword Selection Process

While it may seem like a big mystery; once you learn how to choose keywords, the process becomes much easier over time. The first thing you need to determine is the type of site you are creating. Those that are database driven (or dynamic sites) can be optimized for a virtually limitless supply of keywords. If your site is a static site, which is a site that isn't driven by a database you are more limited in your options for keywords and need to be far more selective. For this reason it is better to determine the type of site you are creating before you begin the keyword selection process.

Now that you've narrowed down the type of site you can begin to select your keywords. Static sites perform better with highly targeted long tail keyword phrases and variations that include singles and plurals. Selecting one or two keyword phrases and focusing on those within a static site will pay off much better than spreading the focus between too many keywords, which could seem like stuffing to the search engines. Dynamic sites, on the other hand, are a giant buffet for keywords. You can optimize for as many keywords as you are interested in creating pages to promote them.

Brainstorm a list of potential keywords or keyword phrases based on the type of site you are creating. Once you have a list you can use the following criteria to eliminate and narrow your list.

How long is the phrase?

The longer the phrase, the more likely it will be to generate traffic that converts into sales. As long as the phrase is being searched; it can convert into sales. For this reason you should avoid creating phrases that are so long that no one is searching for them. You want phrases that are being searched so that you can get the traffic that will convert to sales. You also want phrases that have less competition.

Who will be using the phrase?

One thing you don't want to do is create a website that attracts those who are only looking for information and not looking to buy. It does little good to create a wealth of traffic if you aren't making any sales for your efforts.

When you use these ideas in your keyword strategy you should find that you are not only selecting keywords that generate traffic but also keywords that convert into sales.

3 Key Questions You Need Ask About Internet Marketing

Internet marketing is exciting, challenging, and confusing. It can make or break your internet business career and yet many people who depend on internet marketing don't have a full grasp of the essentials involved in internet marketing.

In fact, many internet entrepreneurs waste a great deal of time, energy, and momentum because they do not fully understand internet marketing. Don't let this lack of understanding undermine your income potential.

In order for you to better understand internet marketing and its impact on your internet business you must know the answers to these three key questions:

1. What Is Internet Marketing?
2. What Is The Cost Of Internet Marketing?
3. What Is The Benefit of Internet Marketing?

What Is Internet Marketing?

Marketing is actually rather simple. Marketing is communication about an idea, product, service, or organization. Marketing therefore encompasses advertising, promotion and sales as well as the various techniques and forms of communication used to advertise, promote and sell.

Marketing is broader than simple advertising or promotion in that it includes researching the market to learn what consumers want and then setting out to meet their needs with the appropriate product, price, and distribution method. Marketing includes market research, deciding on products and prices, advertising promoting distributing and selling.

Marketing also covers all the activities involved in moving products and services from the source to the end user including making customers aware of products and services, attracting new customers to a product or service, keeping existing customers interested in a product or service, and building and maintaining a customer base for a product or service.

Internet marketing includes these same activities but also pulls in various internet tools including web sites, email, ezines, banner advertising, blogging, RSS, text links, search engine optimization, affiliates, autoresponders, and other ecommerce applications.

What Is The Cost Of Internet Marketing?

The range of expenses for internet marketing is huge. There are a number of promotional and marketing ventures that can cost you nothing or only pennies a day while other advertising efforts can cost you thousands a day.

It is important to consider your goals -- both long-term and short-term -- as well as how much each prospective customer is worth to you. This will help you determine a workable budget for your internet marketing campaign.

Many internet promotions are free, you can set up a web site and/or blog for $250 a year, and you can buy text links for $10 a month. You could easily spend $25-50 a day for advertising but there are many cheaper ad options available.

The best program is to start small and cheap and slowly build as you test and learn what is successful for your market and product. There is no perfect acvertising solution that works wonders for everyone. Each marketer and each product has a different formula.

What Is The Benefit of Internet Marketing?

Internet marketing offers more benefits than many traditional marketing mediums. The very nature of web sites and blogs is that they continue working to promote and market your product long after your initial marketing effort is over. Similarly many advertising efforts, such as ezines, newsletters, banners, and text links also continue to increase in power over time.

Email marketing can be a tremendous surge in contacts and sales and offers the ability to personalize your message as well as reach a targeted audience so your chance for sales goes up exponentially.

The other tremendous benefit of internet marketing is that it offers convenience and immediate satisfaction. Your potential customer sees your marketing message when it is convenient for them -- and often when they are seeking information about your specific topic. Then you offer them the ability to act on that interest right then. They can locate your product and buy in the time it would take to watch a commercial on television or turn a page in the newspaper. That is the power of internet marketing.

Now that you have the answers to these three key questions, you are ready to begin your own internet marketing campaign -- and succeed with your internet venture.

The Bi Benefits of Email Marketing

Copywriting_Design2_03

Sometimes the benefits of email marketing are quite different than anticipated. Most Internet marketers understand the basic concept of email marketing which is to email promotional materials to a large group of Internet users to promote an interest in your products or services. This concept is easy for many to understand but sometimes there are added benefits to email marketing. This article will discuss the basics of email marketing and will also explain how sometimes email marketing can be much further reaching than planned.

This additional reach can be either a positive or a negative depending on the quality of the original emails and the reactions of the original recipients.
Email marketing is a very simple concept which is also extremely cost effective. The general idea behind email marketing is that an email is sent to an email distribution list and these emails are intended to create an interest in the products or services offered by the originator of the email.

In theory this concept could not be simpler but email marketing can get significantly more complicated. One of the biggest complicating factors is the potential for the emails used in the marketing campaign to be viewed as spam by either the recipient of the email or the spam filter provided by the Internet service provider.

This potential alone creates a major complication because Internet marketers have to make a significant effort to assure their messages are not trapped by a spam filter or immediately deleted by the recipients for appearing to be spam.

Once the email messages get through to the recipient, they have a small window of opportunity to make a positive impression on the recipients and influence him to make a purchase or at least visit the business owner’s website. Providing quality content, keeping advertising subtle and at a minimum and providing a clear call to action are all factors which can help to get the message across and entice the potential customer to make a purchase or at least visit the website to research the products and services a little bit more.

As previously stated the goal of an email marketing campaign is to convince the email recipient to either make a purchase or visit the website to obtain more information. When an email recipient performs either one of these actions, it is considered a huge success. However, thanks to the power of the forward button email marketing can actually be much more successful than even the business owner intended.

The great aspect of email marketing is that when the email recipients receive an email which they think is worthwhile they are likely to make a purchase and may also forward the information onto a friend or family member they think might be interested in this information as well. The ability to forward email messages has become comparable satisfied customers using word of mouth to tout the quality of the products or services they received.

However, the ability to forward a worthwhile email message is exponentially more effective than using word of mouth to spread the word. With just a few clicks of the mouse, the original email recipient can forward the message to several of his friends at once. This can result in significantly better results than the business owner had originally intended with no additional effort on behalf of the business owners.

10 Ways to Increase the Chances of Your Ad Being Read

Half the battle won in advertising online is getting your ads noticed so that they have impact and create desire and urgency to push the reader into taking the necessary action.

Your subject line will determine whether or not your ad gets read.
Here are 10 ways to increase the chance of your ad getting read:-

(1) Ask people a question in your subject line. School has trained us to automatically answer questions.

(2) Use the word “free” or “fre^” to entice your targeted audience with free information, a free download, free software or a free trial.

(3) Put a smile in your subject line :O). When dealing with people face to face it is easy to respond to someone else’s smile. Online, smiles can’t be seen so add an online smile at the beginning of your subject line.

(4) Be realistic in your claims. People’s inboxes are filled to the brim with promises of millionaire status in 180 days. Be realistic and downplay the income potential. Besides, some people are only looking for a few hundred extra dollars a month, not hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, so make your offer enticing to all.

(5) Avoid using all capitals in your subject line. It is difficult to read and online it is also considered shouting so just capitalize the beginning of every word.

(6) Draw attention to your subject line by starting with the word “stop”. People have been trained to stop and listen when they see that word.

(7) Use extra white spaces in your subject line to create eye-catching gaps between your words and your letters.

(8) Be creative in your use of capital letters and lower case letters in your subject line.

(9) Capitalise Key words in your subject line to add emphasis.

(10) Be detailed and specific. For example, 365 days sounds much more than 1 year. $100.00 a day is more specific then thousands of dollars a month. Add 100 subscribers a week is better than grow your list.

****** Bonus Tricks Of Ad Gurus ******
(1) Keep your classified ads punchy and to the point by using telegraphic sentences. Get paid on 6 levels, unlimited width, $30 cash per referral…

(2) Be artistic by putting “ “, * *, ~ ~, << >> around your headline. This draws the reader towards your ad and not someone else’s.

 (3) Word your advertising as a testimonial. It instantly creates credibility to your offer.

For example, “Webmaster reveals how to drive traffic to your site in 5 minutes a day”.

SIDEBAR: If your budget is tight don’t blow it all at once. Start with free ads to track your ad writing skills and when you get more confident and are producing results move up to classified ads, top sponsor ads, regular ads, and finally the ultimate ad of all, the solo ad.

5 Ways to Increase Target Visitors

I have talked to a number marketers on the Internet and by far the biggest reason most of them haven’t made money is because they don’t bring enough  targeted visitors to their websites.

I am not saying they don’t know how to bring target visitors to their site, because I am sure many of them do. What I am saying is that most marketers are not willing to put in the effort it takes to drive massive amounts of traffic to their sites.

No one likes to admit it, but let’s face it most of us are lazy, we are always looking for an easier way to do things. There is nothing wrong with that, but there are some things that just have to be done a certain way and there just isn’t a short cut.  When it comes to targeted traffic we have all looked for an easier way. I tried auto traffic exchanges, it doesn’t get much easier than that.

Would you like to guess how many products I sold using auto traffic exchanges. Don’t waste your time guessing I have never sold a product using auto traffic exchanges and don’t remember ever selling a product using manual traffic exchanges for that matter. I am not against using traffic exchanges they have their place, but selling products is not one of them.

You are probably thinking when is he going to get to the 5 ways to increase targeted visitors. I am getting there, but you need to understand the 5 ways are important, but the reason you are not making money is not because you don’t know the 5 ways to bring targeted traffic to your site, the reason you are not making money is because you don’t believe they work.

You may have tried a few of the ways to get targeted traffic, but never put in a lot of effort or did it the way you wanted to do it because doing it the way you were told to do it would just take too long. The people that will make money after reading this article are the people that have a burning desire to make it no matter what the cost, and no matter how much time it takes.

The people that came to the Internet looking for an easier way to make money than going to a dead end job will have to wake up and realize that making money on the Internet is not a lot easier than going to that job. Those that accept that and stop looking for the easy way to make money will benefit from this article.

5 Ways to Increase Targeted Visitors

1. Writing Articles
2. Search Engine Traffic
3.Posting In Forums
4. List Building
5.Viral Marketing

An article is restricted to a certain number of words so I can not tell you exactly how to use the 5 ways to increase targeted visitors, but you can find that information at any marketing forum for free, one I use a lot is The Warrior Forum. I hope you noticed that most of the 5 ways to get targeted traffic involve writing, most people have trouble writing, I have trouble with it, that is what this article is about, just buckle down and do it no matter how hard it is. Don’t be like some people and write an article and say to yourself, it took so long to write this article I will just submit it to 10 article directories. You need to submit that article until your fingers can’t type any more, if you will do that it can get easier, because then you will be making some money that you can use to have ghost writers write articles for you.
Good Luck!

8 Cant Fail ways to Get More Interactions With Your Customers

1. Participate in the blogosphere: Read and comment on other blogs in your field. This is a prime way to build readership of your blog. It is also a way of getting fresh content for both your blog and for your book.
To check out other blogs in your niche: use http://ift.tt/1Gun0ve, http://ift.tt/LWwVO2, or http://www.google.com.
This is also a good way to get ideas. What are other people in your field writing about? What are the major challenges of the people in your field? If you have competitors, check them out. They may be a great help in inspiring you for content ideas, different slants and perspectives. The old song, “Anything you can do, I can do better,” comes to mind.

2. Ask readers to comment on your blog. In fact, each time you post something, ask them a question. Then spell it out to them on how to post a comment because your readers will probably need to be educated or at least encouraged to comment. (“Click on the comment link in the footer of this post, and leave your responses.”)

Sometimes readers will need assurances of privacy, in which case, you can ask them to email you their questions or comments in private. Others are not worried about privacy because after all, a blog isn’t meant to be private. However, readers can be shy about commenting, and need encouragement.
You may also encourage them to respond by telling them that you would like to use their replies in your book, but will only do so with their permission.

3. Survey your readers, do a mini-study on their preferences, their experiences, etc. The Internet is the fastest way to acquire some statistics of readers’ preferences. Far from being a scientifically validated study that would pass muster in universities with academicians, an informal survey can give you ideas and material to write about. It can also confirm that you are addressing the concerns of your readers.

4. Run a contest for the best idea, funniest experience, most influential or heart-grabbing situation. If you want to use these readers’ responses for content in your book, you should tell them. Many people jump at the chance to be included in a book. Others may prefer to participate anonymously. You can give them both options.

Here’s an example of how one writer asked his readers for input:

Do You Have A Broken WIndows Story?
Michael Levine’s new book, Broken WIndows, Broken Business is being released later this month. Many people feel this is going to be a mega best-seller.

We have set up a website, where you can rant about broken windows in your everyday experience… Check it out at BrokenWindows.com.

People love to share their experiences, and they love to rant, or rave. Just ask.

5. Ask your readers to attend a teleseminar based on the needs, challenges, concepts and ideas of your blog readers. This is a great way to go deeper into the problems and solutions you are writing about. You can record the sessions, transcribe the dialogue, convert the teleseminar to audio and PDF files. These can be sold, or given away as marketing materials for your book.

6. Use your blog site meter stats to examine what are the most popular articles posted. This information will guide you to expand on the topics and subtopics that capture the interests of readers.

7. Consistently reconnect with your passion, and ignite and inspire others with similar interests. After you’ve been blogging for awhile, you will probably develop good blogging habits:

a. Write something on your blog daily, or at least 2-3 times a week.
b. Read other blogs 2-3 times a week. Be sure to use the My Yahoo or other RSS feed buttons to subscribe to your favorite blogs, or sign up to get email updates through a FeedBlitz service on each blog.

c. Write with your readers in mind. And if you’re not sure where their interests lie, ask them. If they’ve found your blog, and have subscribed, chances are you share a lot in common.

d. If you ever fall into blog-block, reconnect with your core purpose for the blog (remember, the one you wrote out before starting your blog?). When this happens there is usually a reason, although it may not be clear to you at the time. This will pass. You can help it along by asking questions – of your readers, yourself, your closest allies.

8. Podcasting – Create audio files easily by scheduling teleclasses and recording them. Some people like to get their information auditorily and at their convenience by downloading mp3 files to their iPods.

Use a free teleconferencing bridge line like http://ift.tt/SkDf9G to host a call. Record your call, upload the audio file and then post to your blog or podcast using a service like http://ift.tt/1RFWB5U.
As an added benefit, you can get these calls transcribed; then convert the word doc to a PDF file which you can either give away, or sell, in exchange for people’s email address; http://ift.tt/1jk4Qhv is a fast, affordable transcription service.

The Email Marketing Mistakes That Could Be Costing You Money

Many business owners who opt to try email marketing make the mistake of believing any type of email marketing is beneficial. This is simply not true; there are a number of mistakes business owners can make when they organize an email marketing campaign. Examples of these types of mistakes may include allowing promotional materials to be tagged as spam, not following up with promotional emails, not being prepared for an influx of customers after an email marketing effort and not marketing specifically to the target audience.

We will begin our discussion on email marketing mistakes with spam. Spam is a problem which is reaching endemic proportions. Each day Internet users are bombarded with spam from around the world. This may include a host of unsolicited emails which are promoting products or services the recipients may or may not be interested in purchasing. A critical mistake business owners can make in email marketing is to issue emails which are likely to be construed to be spam. This may result in the emails never reaching the recipient or the emails being deleted, without being read, by the recipient. Avoiding the potential of falling into the spam category is not very difficult. It basically involves ensuring your promotional emails contain more useful copy than blatant advertising. This will make it more likely for your emails to be taken seriously.

Another email marketing mistake often made is failure to follow up on promotional emails. Sending out emails to interested parties can be very beneficial but it is even more beneficial to contact these email recipients by other methods such as mail or telephone to answer any questions they may have and offer any additional information they may require. This type of follow up can be much more effective than simply sending an email and allowing it to fall into the abyss of an overcrowded email inbox.

Business owners may also run into the mistake of not preparing themselves for an influx of customers after an email marketing effort. The express purpose of email marketing is to generate increased interest in your products or services. Therefore it is critical for business owners to anticipate an increase in business and be prepared to accommodate this increased demand for products and services. This is important because potential customers who have to wait for products or services may seek out your competitors who are better prepared to provide them with products or services immediately.

Finally, a critical mistake made by business owners is to not tailor an email marketing campaign to their specific target audience. This can be a problem because it may result in the email marketing being less effective. Business owners typically make this mistake because they fall into the trap of believing that it is more important to reach a large audience than it is to reach a target audience. You may blindly send your email marketing materials to millions of recipients and only generate a few leads. However, you could send the same email marketing materials to a smaller group of only a thousand recipients who all have an interest in your products and services and will likely generate more leads from this smaller email distribution list.

It is not only important to send your message to members of your target audience but to also tailor your message to suit this audience. Creating an email message which will appeal to a variety of individuals is not as important as creating a message which will appeal to members of your target audience.

Sometimes the benefits of email marketing are quite different than anticipated. Most Internet marketers understand the basic concept of email marketing which is to email promotional materials
to a large group of Internet users to promote an interest in your products or services. This concept
is easy for many to understand but sometimes there are added benefits to email marketing.

Tips to Get Your Subject Line Spot On

Get paid on 6 levels, unlimited width, $30 cash per referral… (2) Be artistic by putting “ “, * *, ~ ~, << >> around your headline.

Would you like to guess how many products I sold using auto traffic exchanges. Don’t waste your time guessing I have never sold a product us exchanges and don’t remember ever selling a product using manual traffic exchanges for that matter.

5 Ways to Increase Target Visitors

Good Luck!

Blog

How to Void Common Email Mistakes

Finally a critical mistake made by business owners is to not tailor an email marketing campaign to their specific target audience.
