Your Marketing Efforts Sink, Swim Or Soar Depending On How Well You Satisfy Your Market
A few years ago I created a to-do list for my business (different from my to-do list for clients). Nearly every day I would add something to the list. Soon, I had over five pages of things to do -- tasks I viewed as important enough to interrupt what I was doing so I could add them to my list.
Before long, every time I opened the document I got depressed. I was always adding to the list, but almost never crossing anything off.
Why? I discovered I had a number of well-worn excuses:
I don't have enough time. The project seems too big. It won't hurt to put it off a little longer. I feel no pressure to get it done. Maybe it isn't important after all.
When I looked at the tasks I did complete, I assumed they would match my highest priorities. Right? Wrong!
I surprised myself to learn that priority had almost nothing to do with it. Instead, the major factor in my decision to complete these tasks was the "Big C" -- Convenience.
I could finish them quickly and easily. I could complete them in one sitting. And I felt really good when the job was done: instant gratification.
So, what did I do with my 5-page to-do list? I deleted it. Now I feel much better.
When your prospective clients need to hire a lawyer, do they hire you? Or are they skilled at finding ways to "put it off until tomorrow" -- or much later?
I encourage you to make every aspect of your law practice convenient for both your prospects and clients -- because if they face any obstacles, they may have all the reason they need to do nothing.
Now, here are 12 smart ways to make your law practice more convenient:
Smart Way #1: Make sure prospects find it easy to learn about you. This includes having an education-based web site that answers their questions and explains in detail how you can help them. Also, I suggest you have an educational packet that contains articles and information about your services, which you can send by mail or e-mail.
Smart Way #2: Make sure prospects find it easy to reach you. Do you accept phone calls from prospects -- or do you insist that they come into your office before you'll speak with them? Do you offer a toll free number -- or do prospects have to pay to call you? Do you respond to e-mails from prospects? The more convenient you make it for prospects, the more calls you ll receive.
Smart Way #3: Make sure clients find it easy to reach you. Are you available by pager or cell phone in an emergency? Can a client reach you quickly and easily on the phone? Do you return calls promptly?
Smart Way #4: Make sure prospects find it easy to get to your office. Is your office on or near a major street? Is your parking area close to your building or office? Is your office at a convenient location in the building? If on the second floor or higher, is the elevator close by?
Smart Way #5: Make sure prospects find it easy to meet with you. If prospects have a hard time coming to your office, will you go to their home or office? If weekdays are difficult for them, will you meet with them in the evening or on a weekend?
Smart Way #6: Make sure prospects find it easy to hire you. Can they hire you without having to drive to your office? Can you send your engagement letter or contract by fax or e-mail? If you have an established relationship, can they hire you simply by calling you on the phone? Or by sending you an e-mail? Can they hire you without a retainer?
Smart Way #7: Make sure prospects find it easy to pay you. Will you accept personal checks? How about credit cards? Do you offer a payment plan? Do you provide postage-paid business reply envelopes to make sending their check more convenient?
Smart Way #8: Make sure prospects and clients find it easy to provide you with the information you need. Do you have a form they can fill out and send by fax or e-mail? For larger packets, do you provide self-addressed UPS or FedEx labels?
Smart Way #9: Make sure prospects and clients find it easy to remember appointments and other important dates. Do you send them a calendar of upcoming dates, including what you need from them -- or expect of them -- by those dates? Do you send letters or e-mails reminding them of appointments? (A more tactful way to remind them is to ask if this time is still convenient for them.)
Smart Way #10: Make sure clients know when to call you to update documents. You might provide them a list of criteria or events that should prompt them to contact you.
Smart Way #11: Make sure clients find it easy to refer their friends and colleagues. You might mail to each client your referral brochure, which contains a complete listing of your services and contact information. Consider providing clients with referral postcards they can give to friends and colleagues to request a meeting with you. Offer educational seminars so clients can bring friends to meet you and hear your message in person.
Smart Way #12: Make sure clients find it easy to remember you. You might provide things that contain your contact information, such as calendars and paperweights. Send cordial-contact letters. Mail them your newsletter. Don't overlook greeting cards, gifts and donations given in their name. Also, consider hosting special events like art walks and wine tastings.
In summary: Convenience is a big factor in how prospects and clients respond to your marketing efforts. Don't allow even the slightest obstacle to come between your prospects and you. Instead, emphasize how easily prospects can do business with you. In this way, you melt the ice that freezes many prospects in place -- and help them realize that working with you is an easy, positive, rewarding experience.

How to Make Your Content Sell
Whatever niche of the market you operate in, you should always have direct, convincing and appealing communication with your existing or potential clients. Steadfast and returning customers will undoubtedly judge you by the quality of the products or services that you provide. They might recommend your company to their acquaintances, friends or relatives; yet the majority of persons who do not know your company will judge you by the text that you present on your website, your web content counts. Attracting and convincing content can really perform the miracles.
Many of us know that the memorable phrase can influence our decisions, can transform our understating of existing situation and induce us to take some actions. Copywriting does the same; in a nutshell copywriting is a written message, text or content that promotes your business and induces your customers to purchase the products or services that you provide. Professionally written copywriting transforms a casual visitor into a steadfast client.
How does it work? It works by a technique that includes memorable content intriguing headlines and easy-to-read yet convincing texts, by developing web content. In today’s rapid word it is indispensable to grab the attention of a person immediately once he has visited your site. Remember that the majority of your potential clients skip through rather than read all your text.
Nevertheless, not every text will do, what is appropriate for one person, can be wrong for another and visa versa. The content must target your audience- group of individuals who are really interested in your products and services; therefore copywriting and marketing should go hand in hand in order to achieve the best possible results.
It imperative for every copywriter to write the content based on research of the market the company operates in. The typical marketing research for copywriter should contain the following information: Detailed information on the market (the trend on the market, saturation of it and etc); Information on the major competitors of the company (what tactics do they use, how they advertise their products and services); Information on your potential (the preference of your potential customers, what products and services they would like to purchase).
Once you have found out this information you can start develop and write copywriting. However, one should remember that this is a complex process and it might be advisable to give some professionals to complete this task especially if this is the first time you get down to it. Once this task has been completed you might try to use this copywriting copy in the writing of your future copywriting messages.

How to Write an Engaging Blog Post
This article will cover the basics of what it takes to write your own blog posts. With practice you can easily start finding ideas and writing your article in a very short time period. Writing is one of those skills that improve over time, so the more often you write, the better your writing skill will be.
What to Write About
This is normally the biggest issue, what topics do you write about and where can you find ideas?
To find ideas you can use things like other blogs and websites, visit forums in your niche, check out video sites and even ask your readers what topics they would like you to write about. Spend a couple of hours visiting various places online and write down what topics are being discussed.
Forums can be a huge resource. Visit ones that are related to your niche and make a note of what questions are being asked. You may notice a common theme or trend and this could become the basis for a series of articles or even a complete book.
Researching Your Topic
Depending on how in depth you want your article to be, you may want to add statistics and other relevant information. Look for trends in your niche and visit statistic sites to gain this type of information.
When quoting this type of information on your blog it is always good to reference your source. This way your readers can check the stats for themselves.
Writing Your Post
Once you know your topic you can begin to create your post. Start off with an introduction that is a couple of sentences long. You can simply tell the reader what they are going to learn in the article. Asking a question or putting a thought into the readers head is another good idea.
Your next step is to cover the main points of your topic over the course of several paragraphs. A good rule of thumb to follow is to use one paragraph per point, feature or benefit.
After this you simply write your closing paragraph. This can be a quick recap of what the article is about, another thought provoking moment, or a call to action.
The type of closing you write will depend on the purpose of your post. Is it purely informational, are you trying to promote a particular product, or are you trying to get someone to sign up to your list?
As you can see this topic could easily be expanded. This article is a very simple overview of how to get your first blog post on your website.

Best Practices for Creating Content

Today, when it comes to creating content, you really do have plenty of choices. Content comes in different shapes and sizes, from short Tweets to longer articles. From videos to full length books. The following tips will help keep you on the right path to creating quality content, regardless of its purpose.
1. Always research your topic and ensure that you are quoting current facts and figures.
2. Not sure what to write about, ask your readers. You can do this by creating a quick survey or poll or by asking for feedback on your blog, or in your emails.
3. Create content on a regular schedule. Get into the habit of writing every day, if possible. This will help hone your skills and it will make the task of writing much easier.
4. Publish regular content to your blog. There is nothing worse than developing a good readership and then stop publishing to your blog. Your readers will disappear and you are not helping to build a brand or develop a good relationship with potential customers.
5. Don't forget to check your Awstats or Google Analytics account to see what terms people are using to find your site.
6. If you are writing content for your blog then include images, use bullet points, lists and leave lots of white space. Your goal is to make your content easy to read, engaging and visually appealing.
7. Remember to share your new content across your social media sites. Publish the link to Facebook, Google+, Tweet about it and Pin any images.
8. Don't overlook videos as a content creation method. Again people love to watch rather than read sometimes, so give them what they want. Many marketers will offer a video blog post in addition to the written one.
9. Proof read your writing before publishing. You don't want your content to be full or errors. Try to let your material sit for one day before publishing it, if at all possible.
10. Remember the more often you write the better your work will become. You will also find it easier to come up with content ideas and the time it takes to write a completed project will decrease.
Use the above writing tips on a regular basis to improve all aspects of your writing. Writing is a skill that can be learnt and is not always a gift that you were born with.

What is Your Keyword Placement Strategy?
While choosing the right keywords is everything when you are doing business online, where you put those keywords is also important to your bottom line and future profits.
The placement of your keywords is just as important as the choice of keywords you made in the beginning. Far too many people doing business online fail to realize the importance of this and pay the price by not being discovered by the search engines or ranking poorly among them. Below is a list of important placement tips for keywords.
Keep these things in mind when designing the layout of your websites and the content you include on your website. Title Meta Tags It is important to keep this information to fewer than 60 characters. In other words, pack a punch in as few words as possible to make the best impression.
Headers Tags The headers within your content are great places to include your keywords. This is not only good for the search engines to pick up on but also for the readers who are known to skim articles looking for important clues in the sub headings. If you have bolded headings that include the important keywords those are the keywords that are often best noticed by search engines and readers alike.
Bold and Italics Throughout your article there are often terms that are important enough to be emphasized. It is common to do this with bold letters and italics. Make sure that you use this technique with the keywords you've selected so that you are bringing more attention to these words within the articles by visitors to your site as well as the search engines.
Content It is also important to make sure that you are using your keywords within your content. If you want the best possible results, make sure that your keywords are engaged in near the top, the bottom, and the middle of your web page.
This gives the impression of consistent information throughout once the search engine spiders catch on to this and identifies your website as an authority on the topic. Make sure your content is appropriate to your target audience, reader friendly, and informative in addition to being search engine friendly if you really want to make those important sales.
Links Links should have anchor text. Whether these links are affiliate links, links to blogs, or other websites, you call attention to them by using your primary and/or secondary keyword phrases as anchor text for these links.
Meta Keyword Description This is your opportunity to let the search engines know what your site is about by letting them get a good taste of the keywords you've selected. It is absolutely necessary that you include your keywords in this description or the spiders might associate you with keywords that get greater competition or that do not generate as much traffic as you would like. There are other things you can do in order to optimize your site for search engines but employing these keyword placement strategies can make all the difference in the world for the success or failure of your Internet marketing ambitions.

The Top Benefits of Repurposing Your Content
Are there really any true benefits to repurposing your content or is it
just a lot of hard work that will produce no results? This is actually what
many marketers think today, that repurposing content is too hard. They might as
well just keep buying or writing new material. By reading this article today,
you are going to understand the concept of repurposing in a different light.
The basics of repurposing are to take a piece of content and reshape it
into something new. You can then take this new piece of content and use it in
various ways. Once you see how to do this you will find that you can quickly
create new content on the fly.
When we talk about repurposing content we don’t intend that you go out
and rewrite reports and articles. What we want to show you is that you can take
an existing report and create a new product out of it. This method does take
time but it has its benefits.
The top benefits of repurposing content include:
1. Not
constantly writing new content yourself
2. Not
continually buying new content from others
3. Decreasing
your research time
4. Saving you
money
5. Freeing up
your time
Let’s look at how you can use a current report and reuse it several
times over.
If this is a report which you have written or own the rights to you
could easily turn it into a published, printed book! Or you could record the
entire book as a MP3 audio file and sell it or give it away to your customers.
Now if you don’t want to use the report as is then you can start taking
the report apart. The easiest way to do this is chapter by chapter. Each
chapter represents a new article, short report or blog post.
Then take each chapter and turn it into a slide presentation. This can
be easily done using Microsoft PowerPoint or Open Office software. From here
you can turn your slides into a ready to upload to YouTube video.
Maybe you need some content for your email messages. Then slice and dice
your report up into smaller sections. Each section becomes an email message for
your mailing list. Load them into your autoresponder account and you can easily
have content for 6 months to a year!
You can easily see how much time and money and frustration this can save
you. What content are you going to repurpose today?

Tips and Tricks for Creating New Content Quickly
Creating new content can be a frustrating and time consuming thing for
many people. While it is important to update your websites and blogs regularly,
it can be difficult to know what to write about. This is why you should take
the time to learn how to repurpose some of your existing content.
By applying easy to follow tips to your existing content you can quickly
write new blog posts, short reports, create videos and more within hours
instead of days. There is nothing hard or complicated about repurposing your
content. Once you understand how to do this you will probably find it fun. You
may even look forward to coming up with your own unique ideas for repurposing
content.
A good example of this applies to creating short videos. Creating videos
is normally something you either like or dislike doing. But by using content
repurposing methods you can easily create videos on a regular basis.
One of the easiest video creation methods is to take an article and
record yourself reading it on video. All you need is a webcam and a mic to
achieve this. If you don’t want to appear on camera then create a slide
presentation of your video. You can get really creative and fancy here by
adding in music and transition features. All of this can be done on Windows
Movie Maker if you don’t have any other video software.
Need something new to offer to your list? You could take a report and
chop it up into 10 or 12 lessons. You have now just created an email course! To
simplify this process use your autoresponder account to deliver each lesson
weekly or monthly.
Social sites are extremely important and you should have some type of
presence for your business on at least one social account. Posting consistently
is another huge requirement, you need to get your face and name out into the
spotlight on a regular basis.
If you are stuck with how to come up with content for your social posts
start using snippets of your articles and blog posts. This is actually a great
method for getting your fans from your social site onto your website and even
onto your mailing list.
The biggest trick to remember when repurposing your content is that you
want to change the appearance of the original piece of content. Reformat it,
add images, turn it into a video or slide show and you have just successfully
repurposed content.

Quick Ideas for Reusing Your Content
Do the words “reusing your content” have you running for the hills? You envision having to do a ton of work to reuse your material and think that it would be easier just to write new content from scratch? Well I am here to tell you otherwise and by the end of this article you will be embracing and not running from those words!
Reusing your content doesn’t always require you to rewrite everything
from scratch, and it doesn’t mean plopping your content into an article spinner
either! What it does entail is making good use of your material by changing the
format or by adding additional material to it.
Let’s take a look at a few ways you can achieve this.
Maybe you have just released a new product. Why not take one of your
articles and use it to form a press release out of it? You are simply going to
take the highlights and the main points and turn them into an announcement. A
good press release does not have to be that long, it should be written in an
active voice and be a newsworthy event. If you do this effectively you could
attract lots of media attention for your business.
Stumped with what to post to your business page on Facebook or Google+?
Chop up one or two related articles and post snippets each day. Use the
scheduling feature on Facebook to post content out for days or weeks at a time.
Talk about saving time!
Have you been asked to write a guest post or would like to go down this
road? When writing a guest post you normally need to come up with original
content. There is no reason why you cannot take some of your published material
and turn it into an informative guest post. This requires no additional
research just the time to quickly rewrite existing content into a new article.
Looking for content for sites like Pinterest and Instagram? Then use
some of the graphics that you already have and turn them into banners,
infographics and more. You can also take the main points from one of your
articles and turn it into a Mind Map and post that online.
Hopefully you are seeing just how easy it can be to repurpose your
content without a lot of extra hard work.
Should You Reuse Your Content Over and Over Again?
One question that I often get asked is about reusing the same content
over and over again. My readers want to know if this is actually a good method
to use or are they going to run into issues with the search engines?
When I show people how to reuse content I am not telling them to simply
publish the same article or blog post to different directories or sites. What I
am showing them is how to change up the content so that it looks different and
then use this.
People are concerned about getting penalized for duplicate content. When
repurposing an article you are not duplicating it. Plus this applies to having
the same content on the same website multiple times.
Reusing your content means changing the format to a certain degree. A
good example of this is to take one article and use it in various ways. To
start with you can just post the article to your main website. You could then
dissect the article and take the main points and create new posts for your
social accounts.
Other ways to repurpose the same article include using it as a free gift
when you send out emails. Or you could use the actual content to create
autoresponder messages. How about taking it a step further and condensing a few
sentences into Tweets for your Twitter account?
Are you beginning to see the picture now?
If you have been working online for a while now and have lots of old
material, why not bring it back to life? You could do this by setting up an
ecourse, using the material for a coaching program. Or you could base a
membership site around your content.
You really do have numerous ways that you could easily repurpose content
and create some new income from it. Why start from scratch each time you want
to create a new short report or a blog post? Take a look at the material that
you have on your computer and turn it into something new.
When was the last time you posted a video to your blog? Turn any of your
popular blog posts into a video by making use of Power Point and Windows Movie
maker.
If you are feeling lost when it comes to consistently creating new
content why not try some of these repurposing tips that you have learned today?

Creating New Websites from Repurposed Content
One way online marketers get traffic is by building additional websites
that lead back to their main site. These smaller sites can be built in several
ways. One is by purchasing additional domain names and hosting them online. Or
alternatively, you can use free websites, these sites are often referred to as
Web 2.0 sites. They include sites such as Tumblr, Squidoo lenses and Blogger
sites.
While creating new sites is great the issue often is what content to
post to them. This is where repurposing your content comes in extremely handy.
You are not duplicating the content, instead you are changing up the content to
a different format and using that on your new sites.
Let’s look at a few examples of using repurposed content:
One quick method is to simply take an article and record an audio
version of it. Post this as content along with a quick description and a couple
of images. Another good example is to take your article and paste each
paragraph into a Power Point slide. Then you can save the slides as a slide
show or you can quickly turn it into a video. So already you have at least 3
new formats from your original article.
If you have a long article or a short report that you don’t know what to
do with. Chop it up into smaller sections and use each section as an individual
blog post. Again add images to liven up the content. You could even record a
video presentation of each new article and post that as well. This way your
readers can read the text article or watch the video, the information is the
same.
One of the main purposes of using a Web 2.0 site is to drive traffic
back to your main site. For example on your Tumblr page you could post an
excerpt of an article. Then link back to your site so that the reader can read
the rest. On this page they have the opportunity to sign up to your newsletter
or receive a free gift from you.
As well as directing visitors back to your site you are creating links
back to your site as well. All of this helps to increase the popularity of your
site and raise your rankings within the search engines. See what repurposing
can do for you now?
