Do Your First Time Customers Remember You?

Are you worried about reconnecting with people who visit your business? Or are you of the mindset that they will come back if they are interested? With many businesses having an online presence today it is becoming more important to have a solid follow up method in place.

When it comes to your website a visitor does not always make a purchase or sign up for your service the instant they land on your page. Instead it often takes up to 7 visits before they feel compelled to take action.

So what can you do to improve this and how can you stay connected to potential customers and clients?

One easy way to follow up with visitors to your website is to place an opt in box on it. This is a box that captures their email address and then allows you to send out emails. This method works extremely well and you can even schedule emails ahead of time.

Another way to stay connected with customers is by using social media. If you set up a Facebook page for example you can encourage your customers to come and Like your page. When they do this they will see any updates and comments you make in their news stream.

The nice thing about social media is that it is easy for people to leave comments, share their thoughts and even share your posts with their friends. When you use this method you want to add content that is valuable to your Fans. This includes sharing news about your industry with any new releases or happenings that are going on.

In between you can add some comments regarding your business. You can occasionally offer a discount offer or promote a blog post that you just published. Your goal is to offer value to your customers while gently reminding them about your business.

Either of the two methods we suggested above are perfect for using to get your first time customers to remember you. Of course their first impression needs to be favorable for this to happen.

If you run an offline business then approaching new customers in a friendly manner helps. If your business is online then offer a free gift to visitors. As long as you make this gift related to your business you will see lots of people taking advantage of it. Why not get started by either setting up your Facebook page or creating a free gift for potential customers.
