How to Get People to Say Yes

One of the biggest mistakes people can make is to start using force or hard selling tactics to get what they want. It is much better to use positive methods to achieve this instead. The best way to get people to say yes to you is by taking the time to build a solid relationship with them.

When you want to influence someone your best route is to understand that there is more to persuasion than meets the eye. You need to develop good communication skills to make this work effectively.

Your first step is to take the time to get to know your prospect and if you haven’t met them before this may take a little research on your part. Then when you do connect with them you want to use the know, like and trust factors before you even think about selling or persuading them to do something.
In order to be effective at persuasion you must fully understand your product or subject and its benefits and features.

This way you have the tools to know how to turn a negative into a positive. Your goal is to get them to understand what is in it for them if they take you up on your offer.

During your conversation you may run into emotions. In fact understanding people’s emotions is an important part of persuasion. How many times have you purchased something on a whim?

Advertising firms take advantage of this and target their ads to trigger emotions in people.
When people trust you they are more likely to say yes to your proposal. You can achieve this by always being honest and by being yourself when you meet people. Don’t try to be someone that you think your prospects are expecting. Just be yourself and you will see better results.

When you come across as honest, decent and trustworthy your acceptance rates will go through the roof. You will have no problems getting people to say yes to you. If you are trying to fake something your customers will see right through you.

Always be one hundred percent open and honest when dealing with people. Never try to force people into something instead learn the skills of successful persuasion.

Take the time to learn your product or service and all that it has to offer. Then use this information to effectively turn any no into a yes time after time.
