How to Make a Ton of Money with Your Emails

So everyone told you to sign up with an autoresponder service and build a list. You did this but now you are wondering just how to make money with this list. After all you have to cover the cost of using this service each month. Let's take a look at how you can do just this.

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to build an email list and then not use it. When you decide to make use of it your subscribers will have forgotten who you are and be unresponsive. Or worse they may tag your email as spam and this can put your account in jeopardy.

As soon as you begin building your email list you want to set up your follow-up emails. There should be around 7 - 10 emails in this sequence. The first email is your welcome email with a reminder of where to download their purchase or free gift.

Your subsequent emails will be a based around their purchase, ask them if they have any problems with the download. Chat about the product in your next email and discuss it in a little more detail.
By the fourth or fifth email you may want to start leaving a link to where they can find additional information on this topic. Always make sure you add your contact details to your emails and a link to your main website and to one of your social sites.

Once you have build an introductory relationship with your list you want to start thinking about how to monetize your emails. One easy way to do this is by recommending related products or services to your subscribers.

What you offer will depend upon your business model. For example if you are working with beginners who want to market online then it makes sense to send them to products that can help them achieve this. This could be a product on how to set up wordpress or how to start their own email list.
By spending the time to develop a relationship with your list you will find that when you do promote products they will happily buy from you. Don't forget that you can create your own products as well and market them to your list. You may want to give them a special price because they are on your list.

As well as recommending products to your list don't forget to also send out some free gifts or coupons from time to time. Customers love to be appreciated and this is a great way to do just this.
